Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis

President, Benedict College

Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis has earned for the second time in history, the distinct honor of serving as the first female President of a collegiate institution in the United States. On June 30, 2017, Dr. Artis was unanimously appointed by the Board of Trustees as the 14th President of Benedict College. She is the first female President in the 148-year history of the College which was founded by a woman, Mrs. Bathsheba Benedict in 1870.

Under Dr. Artis’ leadership, Benedict College was awarded the 2019 American Council on Education (ACE) Fidelity Investments Award for Institutional Transformation. The award recognizes institutions across the U.S. that have responded to higher education challenges in innovative and creative ways and achieved dramatic changes in a brief period. Benedict College was only the 2nd HBCU and the 1st private college to receive this national recognition. Through strategic thinking and measured efforts, Dr. Artis has transformed Benedict’s campus to better prioritize student success, scholarly achievement, and innovation. 

Ben Green

Owner/Partner, Insurance Advantage, LLC

Ben Green has a great appreciation for customer service and client satisfaction honed from more than 15 years’ experience working with clients in the hospitality, economic development, education, and technology industries. With this broad background, Ben draws on a broad range of experiences to help Insurance Advantage’s clients find the best solutions and get the best return on their investment.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College and an MBA from The University of South Carolina. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the SC Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, the Midlands Education and Business Alliance, and the Midlands Middle College.

Edna Langley

Owner and Vice President, Langley 3, LLC

Since 2006, Edna Langley has been the Owner and Vice President of Langley 3, LLC, operating six McDonald’s restaurants in the Columbia, West Columbia and Lexington areas. She served eleven years in the United States Army and earned her BA in Psychology from Coker University.

Edna currently serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia Board of Directors and the Columbia Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee. She has received the Columbia Urban League’s 2016 Guild Tower Leadership Award and has also been recognized with the I’m Every Woman Person of the Year Award by the Palmetto Capital City Classic board.

Edna enjoys running, family game nights and making a difference in her employee’s lives.

Dr. Greg Little

Superintendent, Lexington County School District 1

Since 2016, Dr. Greg Little has served as Superintendent of Lexington County School District 1, one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state. During his tenure, he has demonstrated skill in creating meaningful partnerships with private- and public-sector businesses and governmental agencies in order to expand educational opportunities.

Previous to this, Dr. Little held positions as the Superintendent of Mount Airy City Schools in North Carolina and Assistant Superintendent of K12 curriculum and instruction for Roanoke Rapids Graded School District.

Dr. Little earned an EdD and MA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
