Executive Vice President and COO, Aflac Group Insurance
Dan Lebish is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Aflac Group Insurance, where he oversees the day-to-day operating activities, performance goals and strategic initiatives of the Columbia organization. Additionally, Dan has responsibilities for individual operations in Columbus and management of the US broker channel.
Dan has more than 30 years of experience in the health care management and insurance industries. Most recently, he served as executive vice president at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield where he was responsible for building Highmark’s new provider organization and related integrated delivery system. During his tenure with Highmark, he was chairman and chief executive officer of HM Insurance Group and United Concordia Companies, and senior vice president of business development. He previously served as executive vice president of medical delivery systems at Coventry Health Plans, chief financial officer at Magee-Womens Hospital and health care management consultant at Ernst & Ernst.
Currently, Dan serves on the Board of Trustees for Claflin University and the Board of Directors for the Palmetto Health Foundation, Central Carolina Community Foundation and the SC Chamber of Commerce. He has previously served on the Boards of WQED Multimedia, the Greater Pittsburgh YMCA and Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dan earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College and a master’s degree from Ohio State University. He and his wife Rita have four adult children and are avid Pittsburgh Steelers fans.

Founders, Columbia Design League
Architects Adrienne Montare and Tom Savory first met, working together, in New York City in 1986. Ten years later, married with children, they moved to Columbia and established the Columbia Design League in 1997. Now an affiliate group of the Columbia Museum of Art, the Columbia Design League hosts speakers from different disciplines and different areas of the nation to infuse our region with the creative energy, and to address the positive impact of design on our community. Adrienne is executive director of the South Carolina chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and Tom is founding principal of Watson Tate Savory architects in Columbia and Charlotte. Prior to moving to Columbia, Tom was an associate with Richard Meier & Partners, and Adrienne was with Gwathmey Siegel & Associates.

2 Fat 2 Fly’s Ramone Dickerson and Corey Simmons, Columbia, S.C. natives who launched their stuffed chicken wing company in the late 2000’s, will lead the lineup of business-savvy speakers at Ignite!. 2 Fat 2 Fly’s food truck became wildly popular in Columbia, leading the two entrepreneurs to the opportunity to star in their own reality television show on the OWN Network, “2 Fat 2 Fly.” Most recently 2 Fat 2 Fly has returned to Columbia to open a flagship restaurant near Williams-Brice Stadium. The pair will share their story of starting the food truck, landing a national TV show and how Columbia has helped them get where they are.
