EngenuitySC Announces Speakers for November 14, 2012 Ignite! Celebration

Columbia, S.C. (October 23, 2012) EngenuitySC announced its speakers for Ignite! 2012, an annual celebration of the Midlands' knowledge economy. The event will be held in the Frank McGuire Arena at the Carolina Coliseum from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on November 14, 2012. The speakers for Ignite! 2012 are as follows:

• Jill Davis, Vice President of Corporate Planning & Strategic Services for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina
• Ben Rex, CEO, Cyberwoven
• Dr. MVS “Chandra” Chandrashekhar, Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering, USC College of Engineering & Computing
• Brendan Lee and Chris Thibault, Co-founders, 52Apps
• Preach Jacobs, Cola-Con Organizer, Musician, Photographer, and Journalist
• Michael T. Roth, Former USC College World Series Champion Pitcher, Minor League Baseball Player for the Los Angeles Angels, and Founder of Michael T. Roth Enterprises

In addition to short keynote presentations by these innovators, Ignite! ticketholders will enjoy an open bar and a networking cocktail hour featuring performances by Alternacirque, as well as a full array of heavy hors d'oeuvres by high-quality local chefs, banquet seating, and a high-energy audience voting session to determine the winner of the Ignite! Ideas Contest. There will be a free after party at Social Bar & Lounge from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Tickets for Ignite! 2012 are $45 for a seat at a table. To reserve an entire table of eight seats, sponsorships are available. Student group tickets are also available for area college students for a reduced price. Tickets can be bought at www.engenuitysc.com/ignite/i-want-a-ticket.

This annual, signature event brings together new media, technology and business leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs to celebrate the growth of the Midlands' knowledge economy.
