Knowledge Economy Metrics

EngenuitySC is developing an annual scorecard magazine that will identify and track metrics that  measure the health, diversity, strength, and innovative activity of Columbia’s regional economy.

The goal is to create and track key indicators that provide a snapshot of Columbia’s performance in the knowledge economy. The project will compare Columbia to both peer communities and to leading communities that consistently outperform other similar regions. Ultimately, the project will be used to track progress and establish new strategic directions for economic development policy as the region transitions into the knowledge-based economy.

Goal

To create an annual scorecard tracking Columbia’s progress towards creating a new knowledge economy.
