Created in 2003, EngenuitySC is an active public/private partnership focused on the knowledge-based economy in the Columbia, South Carolina region. It is compromised of business and industry leaders, along with representatives from local government and academia. Its goal is to encourage entrepreneurship to commercialize ideas, technology, research, and public policy in an effort to help knowledge-based companies and create access to start-up investment capital.
